Mo. Tadaaki Otaka, conductor, has been diagnosed with prostate cancer and is advised to pause his conducting activities for a 2-month period from May 20 until July 20 in order to concentrate on his radiotherapy. He has consequently become unavailable to perform for our subscription concert on June 20 and Afternoon Concert on June 23 at Tokyo Opera City. To the many who were looking forward to Mo. Otaka conducting on these dates, we appreciate your understanding. We can assure you that an excellent conductor for these dates will be announced shortly and tickets therefore remain valid.
