Hiroko Nakamura

Recognized as a prodigy from age 3, Hiroko Nakamura has performed in more than 3700 concerts worldwide, has made about 50 recordings, and is the award-winning author of five books. She has made innumerable appearances with major orchestras under the direction of such renowned conductors as James Levine and Evgeny Svetlanov.
Ms. Nakamura has served on the juries of many international competitions including Van Cliburn, Tchikovsky, Chopin and Hamamatsu.
Ms. Nakamura has been recognized with many international awards including a decoration from the government of Japan and Poland and has recently received the Medal for Merits to Culture Gloria Artis. She continues to enjoy a distinguished career of performing, recording, coaching and judging. In 2009/2010 season she celebrated 50th anniversary of her debut, and now touring all 47 prefectures around Japan in this season having recitals and concerts with major orchestras.
