Our July subscription concerts with Maestro Myung-Whun Chung will be held!

The Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra is happy to announce that the July Subscription Concerts under the baton of Honorary Music Director Myung-Whun Chung will be held as scheduled.

Due to travel restrictions caused by the pandemic, Maestro Chung was unable to visit Japan for the three subscription concert series in July 2020, October 2020, and February 2021, which we had to cancel or change the program. In preparation for the July concerts, we consulted with the relevant ministries and agencies, and Maestro Myung-Whun Chung was allowed to enter Japan, subject to strict quarantine measures and behavior control. He is coming to Japan for the first time in a year and four months since February 2020 to conduct our subscription concerts.

Please look forward to our performances of all Brahms symphonies with Maestro Chung!
