We would like to inform those who have responded to our inquiry and plan to attend our September 2020 season subscription concerts.
We have been preparing for the visit of Maestro Andrea Battistoni, Chief Conductor of the Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra, to Japan, but as of today, it is not possible to have his visa issued due to the Japanese government's restriction on foreign nationals entry to Japan. We truly regret to inform you that we have to change the conductor and the content of the program due to that insurmountable restriction.
We sincerely apologize for this change and hope you will enjoy the performance conducted by Maestro Kazumasa Watanabe, our Residence Conductor. We are sure you will enjoy the energy and passion he will bring to the occasion in his own way as Maestro Battistoni’s substitute.

[2020 Season, September Subscription Concerts]

The 942nd Suntory Hall Series: September 25, Fri, 19:00 at Suntory Hall
The 943rd Orchard Hall Series: September 27, Sun, 15:00 at Bunkamura Orchard Hall
The 136th Tokyo Opera City Series: September 29, Tue, 19:00 at Tokyo Opera City Concert Hall

Due to the change in content, we will refund the ticket price for those who wish to be absent from the concerts. Please fill out the yellow Return Form and return it to the Tokyo Philharmonic Ticket Service no later than September 12, Sat, 2020 (postmarked by the date).

If you can attend the concert, you do not need to submit this form. We will send you a postcard with your seat number by September 19, Sat.

Note:
If you wish to receive a refund, please submit the return form by September 12, Sat, (postmarked by the date). If you miss the deadline, your ticket will be considered "attendance" and a postcard with your seat number will be sent to you. Please note that we cannot give you a refund after that date.
