The cancellation of February & March Subscription Concerts

The second declaration of the state of emergency due to the re-emergence of the new coronavirus infection has been extended until March 7, Sunday, with a total denial on new entries from abroad.

As a result of this decision, it will not be possible for Maestro Myung-Whun Chung, Honorary Music Director, and Maestro Mikhail Pletnev, Special Guest Conductor, to visit Japan as originally scheduled to conduct our February and March subscription concerts, respectively.

After careful deliberation, we are sorry to inform you that we have decided to cancel these concerts without making any substitutions. We would like to express our sincere apologies to all those who were looking forward to the performances, and ask for your understanding.

If you have purchased a ticket, you will receive a refund. We will notify details of the refund in February.

We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
